AMERICAN STAFFY - COULDN'T RUN OR JUMP

My American staffy pup (Devil) for most of his young life had a limp.  He couldn’t run or jump like a normal pup and he was in obvious pain after any exercise.  Devil was only 1 year old when I found out about Doc Jamieson.  I flew from Darwin to take Devil to see Doc.  After 4 sessions, now 6 months later, Devil can run and jump without pain and he doesn’t limp anymore at all.  His back is also no longer arched and now he has a bounce in his step that was achieved by Doc, without surgery.  Doc has changed Devil’s life forever for him.  It is really amazing the difference this man makes to a dogs well being.  I will be forever grateful.

BORDER COLLIER - COMPLETELY PARALYSED
Prior Diagnosis - ???

Hi Doc,
I am so sorry I have delayed writing to you - I havent known how to express my thoughts into words.  In September when Jessie our Border Collie first got sick with a ruptured disc in her back she couldn't move, walk, wag her tail, move her hind legs, roll over, catch sticks, run, swim or even sit up.  All the children in our area are used to playing with Jessie for hours.  We felt helpless and hopeless and didn't know what to do to help her.  After many visits it seemed as though the Vets had done all that they possibly could for Jessie, they did a good job trying to make her comfortable however she needed more...

When we discovered you Doc and found out about your chiropractic manipulation methods of treatment you gave us renewed hope for Jessie to be able to one day walk again.  We saw results immediately.  Doc I have to say Jessie improved so rapidly when you were treating her it was just brilliant!!!

Because of your treatment Jessie can now wag her tail, move her hind legs, scratch with her hind legs, walk with little assistance from us, roll over, swim and have general fun and enjoyment like she used to.jess

Jessie gives us so much love, and did even when she was sick.  She is such a beautiful dog with an amazing personality.  She always wants to play and have fun.  When she was sick and couldn't move she still wanted to play with her sock!  Her spirits have remained high and you have certainly helped her with that.  Last week we caught Jessie standing and she walked for 3 metres on her own and at the beginning of the week when we were working in the yard she got up and walked about 6 metres.  This was the first time in months and very encouraging.

When we go for longer walks with our other dogs we take Jessie in the wheelbarrow as we realise she is not up to these yet and she gets so distressed when we leave her behind, this is how we have walked every morning and afternoon since September!  Jessie has needed you so desperately and you have been there for us to help her back to health and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this

To Doc Jamieson

We hope you had a good trip home last night.  We were so grateful that you came all the way from

Gympie to Victoria Point and back to Gympie just to see Monique.  After watching you work on her

we realised that for the last few days she was in a great deal of pain and immediately after you had

treated her she was pain free.  You did a great job!.  Monique had immediate relief and today she is just like her old self but she is sleeping a lot and putting her tail down a little.  I guess you could say she is very tired after her treatment and the sleeping and being quiet will help the healing go a long way.

Can you please let us know when you start up your Brisbane practice again and we will bring Monique along for another treatment.

We first took Monique to see you around 12 months ago following 3 fruitless visits to the Vet who just gave her an anti inflammatory injection and some anti inflammatory tablets to take each time.  The vets told us then that they did not know what was wrong with Monique but said to bring her in for x-rays and more tests, proposed to cost us hundreds of dollars which we really could not afford to spend on a whim.  We were also reluctant after seeing what our daughter went through with a vet with her Doberman.  (Our daughter was told by the vet that because her dog had a lame front leg she had bone cancer and would be dead in 3 weeks.  Our daughter was in shock and on the point of leaving on a 2 week overseas trip and could do nothing so she took the dog to the kennels and told the boarding kennel owner what the vet had said.  The kennel owner had breed Dobermans and when our daughter came back she found out all that was wrong with the dog was her shoulder was out and they had organised to have it treated while she was away. She came back to a totally healthy dog.  The next time when our daughter took the same dog to the vet, she was told that the dog had breast cancer.  They wanted to do all sorts of tests and treatments costing thousands of dollars which she could not afford.  Our daughter told the vet to just cut out the cancer no tests to be done and send the dog home.  This was 2 1/2 years ago now and the dog is still in great shape and now 9 years old!)

From our families experiences, we know there is a place for both the vet and for Doc Jamieson as an animal chiropractor however we have lost faith the vets of today as it appears they are too quick to give some sort of diagnosis not knowing really what is wrong with the animal and instead suggest they need to do all sorts of tests for large amounts of money.  It seems that making money is more important than really caring about the animal.  That is the difference with Doc JamiesonHe really loves and cares about the animals and he gets RESULTS!!!

We would rather take our dog to Doc for healing and know that he will tell us the truth and heal the dog if it is at all possible.  We were absolutely over the moon when we saw what you could do for our dog when we first brought her to you with a series of treatments - no drugs and a knowledge of what was actually wrong with her.  To see her happy and well after each treatment was fantastic.

You are a man who obviously has a great insight into, and love of, animals able to bring them the healing and relieve their pain.   We hope you keep treating animals since you get the desired results that the vets don't get, you are so successful in your own field.

Once again Doc thank you for coming from Gympie to Victoria Point and back last night to treat our little dog.  And a big thankyou from Monique.  We look forward to seeing and hearing that you are having a very successful career treating and healing animals for a long time to come!

Kind regards

LABRADORS – Limping
Prior Diagnosis - Euthanasia

Doc - Thankyou for treating our new Labrador, Mandy.  You did amazing things for our 2 Labradors, Bridie and Ella, in the last couple of years of their long lives. You did for them what Vets couldn't do - you gave them mobility and lengthened their lives in quality and obviously relieved the pain they were both experiencing before we came to you. My only alternative when we came to you was death for the girls and you saved them.

It is easy for us to see that you have only one intent – to save animals and help their owners. All that is important is that you heal the animals you treat – you have a true gift.

We tell everyone around us how wonderful your treatment of any animal suffering is and as an example when we were going home to Birkdale recently and we stopped at a stall selling mangoes on Mount Gravatt Capalaba Road.  There was a fellow there who saw our dog in the back of the car.  He made a comment and I said we had just been to see Doc Jamieson the Animal Chiropractor for a treatment on Mandy.  He immediately knew of you and what you do. After speaking with this man it was evidence that he also only knew of the good that you, do so I told him equally to spread the word!

I want everyone to know that there is another possibility/help for their animals rather than taking the suggested option of euthanasia, the help is available from you.

After just a short time we feel like we really know you and we have definitely seen the amazing results you get.  Doc you are a decent honest hard working man who has a gift for healing animals.  Please continue this work and never give it up!!!

STANDARD SCHNAUZER - LIMPING
Prior Diagnosis - Damaged toes, arthritis, anti-inflammatories, no exercise/rest

Please use this as a reference and you may pass on my e-mail address –
boomer60@bigpond.net.au if you want to contact us regarding Docs treatment.
I am happy to return telephone calls to people that email me if required.

Herman, our much loved four year old Standard Schnauzer started limping some time ago now .He had been a very fit and healthy dog, was exercised very regularly and was not over weight.  Since he had cut his paw some months previously, we thought that he may have something still in his foot and took him to our local vet.

The vet examined him and told us that he probably had damaged his toes, that he showed signs of arthritis and put him on a course of anti-inflammatories and a new anti-arthritic drug. This seemed to make sense as Herman is a big showoff and in the habit of taking huge leaps up or down from any suitable object. Over several visits to the vet and a couple of courses of tablets, the limping only got worse and during this time, we were told not to exercise the dog, a fate worse than death as far as Herman is concerned!

We really weren’t making any progress and were told of another locally based vet that is good with dogs and we took Herman to him for another opinion.  This vet took many x-rays of the foot and up to the shoulder and told us that Herman had probably damaged his carpels. Herman got another course of tablets and several more weeks of rest.

Eventually, after yet another visit to the vets, we took Herman for a walk but when we got home, he appeared to be in a lot of pain and we made the decision that we needed to seek another solution to the issue.  We found Doc’s name and website and also several articles on the internet and decided to give him a call. After all, Herman was not getting any better, in fact much worse and being the character that he is, very unhappy at being cooped up at home!

Doc took one look at Herman as we walked him up and down and immediately told us that his changed posture and restricted movement pointed towards referred pain from his neck and not a foot or leg injury at all. In fact, his supposition made so much sense to us that we felt quite guilty that we hadn’t spotted the changes in his posture and reluctance to be petted as he was in so much pain.

Doc muzzled the dog and spent a few minutes stretching his limbs and manipulating his neck. Herman didn’t like it but Doc explained that he would be sore overnight but we would see the difference in the morning which we did. He was slightly better and the limp slightly less pronounced.

Over five visits with the dog confined as much as possible, Herman improved to the point where we could start walking again on a lead and after a couple of weeks to build up the muscle that had wasted away, he was a new dog, running and chasing a ball and his canine pals as he has always loved to do.

We are now several months down the track and Herman has been and remains in perfect health and does not appear to have any restriction to his movement. His gait has changed as he used to  walk like a horse at ‘the trots’ but this may have been a symptom of his pain.

We are not medical people but are happy to state that conventional medico’s were not progressing with a cure for our dog and the costs of examinations and drugs were piling up. Doc however did seem to understand the underlying causes of the dogs pain and we are again are the owners of a happy and active Schnauzer.

I hope that if you are the owner of a lame animal, you will have the same success in finding a cure as we did.
